The trials and tribulations of the PUD ballot

In Multnomah County, Oregon there is an upcoming election concerning a couple of PUD initiatives. Now you might think it would be a nice, simple little election, right? Man, would you be wrong.

Wev'e got all sorts of counsel, the federal judge, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, pro-business groups masquerading as grassroots citizens' groups, orders telling the local daily newspaper to print certain things in a certain way, the local newspaper ignoring the judge's orders to print certain ads in a certain way, lawsuits about what a certain law means when it comes to electioneering and a ballot tax warning that has been ruled as misleading. This election has everything except Britney Spears walking around half naked.

NOTE: I've got better things to do than erase the childish, immature, psychotic, obscene comments from looney Roger Weidner and his gang of illiterate morons, so just put your opinions at the Johnhays.net Forum.

Too bad about the no Britney.

Maybe we can get her for the election after this one. Then again, it looks as though the Portland mayor's race might be just as exciting.

Good grief!! What am I saying??!!! I better lay off politics for a few days.
