The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals recently issued a couple of decisions in Padilla and Gherebi. These decisions have caused a bit of controversy in legal circles and elsewhere. Eric Muller has a post that seems to pretty much put the controversy in proper perspective, plus, even though I'm no lawyer, I'm still a citizen of the U.S. so I have a right to an opinion, and I agree with Prof Muller.
By the way, Prof Muller has a book out entitled "Free to Die for Their Country - The Story of the Japanese American Draft Resisters in World War II". You can read the first chapter for free here.
NOTE: I've got better things to do than erase the childish, immature, psychotic, obscene comments from looney Roger Weidner and his gang of illiterate morons, so just put your opinions at the Johnhays.net Forum.
