Dear Senator Wyden,
This is in response to your request for information at today's Cave Junction Town Meeting regarding the Medford, Oregon FBI investigation into the Conspiracy to Libel complaint by Raymond Karczewski on November 2, 1997 and government/media supported mind control experiments being conducted on unwary users of the Internet. In order to avoid an unwieldy amount of disk space, I am only listing the URLs of posts by some of those anonymous persons involved. These posts may be found in the Internet DejaNews archives. The Medford office of the FBI has much additional material in their hands, and the Washington D.C. office of Director of the FBI Louis Freeh has my own personal complaint which contains URLs listed in this letter.
This libel, harrassment, stalking and defamation has been going on for over four years without letup, in fact it has accelerated due to the fact that there has been no timely action taken by either the Washington D.C. or the Medford, Oregon offices of the FBI in this matter. It began as anonymous attacks upon my husband, forgeries posted on Internet usenet newsgroups under his name, and then extended to libelous reviews of his book at Amazon.com. My husband requested the removal of our book from their online catalog due to these invalid, libelous, so-called reviews.
Those persons involved then turned their attacks toward me. I am 62 years old, in precarious health at best, and the ongoing stress of this situation has taken an additional toll on my health. The Internet has so much information of benefit to offer to the people of this world. That it can be so easily and arrogantly corrupted and used for unabating abuse of those same people is horrendous to me. At the meeting you spoke of it's being against the law to as a hoax yell "Fire" in a theatre in order to protect those patrons whose lives might be endangered by a stampede toward the exits by panicky people fearing for their lives. Is not the danger just as great when lives and health can be destroyed by malicious, anonymous persons who are able to evade responsibility for and the consequences of their actions.
One of these attackers who calls himself "Tim Hill", in addition to using a host of other aliases (the apparent leader of the group), posted that he would be absent from the Internet for awhile due to his new job. In the past he has admitted to serving as a PR consultant for election campaigns. Recently other anonymous attackers have claimed that they have nothing to fear from the FBI due to the statute of limitations having run out although, as my husband pointed out to them, each new libelous attack extends the timeline.
I cannot stress enough that what I have sent you is merely the "tip of the iceberg." This is a unique experience and will probably change the history of jurisprudence in our country, and in how our courts operate in that all evidence is recorded in black and white. There are literally thousands of posts (written by this same conspiratorial, anonymous group of individuals operating with a recognizeable and distinct agenda) of this libelous nature to be found in the DejaNews archives, defaming not only my husband and myself but other authors and innocent usenet users. Although these individuals post anonymously, in the past they have revealed personal and career/business ties to the U.S. Intelligence community, government and media.
I repeat that the Internet is a marvelous tool for communication amongst people, a sort of "chatting over the back fence" tool that can bring the people of the world together as brothers and sisters, that may have the power to instill the sense of unity of our common humanity and the urgency of bringing about peace among us. As it is being used now, it breeds fear and furthers the divisiveness that leads to war and has already made a shambles of our world. My own daughter is afraid to use the Internet due to the rabid attacks that have made on me and my husband.
Make no mistake, Senator Wyden, I do not advocate censorship. What I do advocate is the responsible use of our First Ammendment Right to Free Speech by each of us being held responsible for the content and consequences of our free speech.
Again I repeat: I am a 62-year-old woman of limited financial means.This four-year-long campaign of libel, stalking, and defamation has taken its toll on my already precarious health. We, my husband and I, have gone to our government for assistance and thus far our government has failed us. I am counting on you to do what you publicly declared in our Town Meeting that you would do: "personally follow up" and "get an answer" from the FBI regarding the Conspiracy to Libel and Government/media supported mind control experiments being conducted on unwary users of the Internet.
By the way, Senator Wyden, I will post this on the public newsgroups and on our Web site. We, our nation and an on-looking world await your action in this matter.Yours truly,

Hard to believe my mother, Neta Hays, and my sister, Chris Andrea Hays, believe this nonsense. Hard to believe they actually found a cop stupid enough to believe this nonsense, but they did.
I guess when you're in law enforcement the stress can get to you.
Thursday, April 8, 2004King County deputy on paid leave after two DUI arrests
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF
KIRKLAND -- The King County Sheriff's Office has placed one of its deputies on paid leave after she was arrested twice in two days for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
The 28-year-old deputy, who has been with the department for four years, was arrested March 28 and again March 29 for two separate incidents, authorities said.
Kirkland police made the first arrest March 28 after the deputy reportedly crashed into a wall.
The next evening, the deputy was arrested a second time, this time by fellow King County deputies, sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said.
She was not booked in either incident, he said.
The deputy was most recently assigned to patrol the King County Airport. When she was placed on leave last week, she was required to turn in her badge and department-issued firearm. She has not been charged with a crime.
The department is conducting an internal investigation, Urquhart said.
Man, I hope the Australians aren't getting too greedy.
DILI (AFP) — Hundreds of East Timorese rallied outside the Australian embassy to demand Canberra stop issuing exploration licenses in disputed parts of a huge gas field between the two countries.The protestors accused Australia of stealing East Timor's wealth by issuing exploration licences and urged Australian officials to meet East Timorese officials more often to solve the dispute.
"It is not too late for Australia to rebuild friendly relations with East Timor. But time is running out," they said in a statement on Wednesday.
The protestors shouted "John Howard thief!" referring to the Australian prime minister. "Stop stealing our oil, Australia," read their poster.
They said Australia had benefitted from gas fields which are closer to East Timor than to Australia.
"These are our wealth and you don't have the right to sell them," the statement said.
East Timor Prime Minister Mari Alkatiri has accused Australia of breaching international law by issuing exploration licences in the Greater Sunrise field.
