The New Yorker: FactOn the night of November 19, 2002, about a hundred police officers gathered at the House of Prime Rib, on the fringes of downtown, to celebrate the promotion of Alex Fagan, Sr., to assistant chief of the department. After the dinner, which ended around midnight, several officers decided to continue the festivities at the Bus Stop, which is about ten blocks away. Some of the cops apparently made the short trip in drag-race-style competitions with one another. Three young officers—Matthew Tonsing, David Lee, and Alex Fagan, Jr., the son of the assistant chief—travelled to the Bus Stop together. The trio remained there until closing time, 2 a.m., and then they lingered on the sidewalk out front.
Meanwhile, about a hundred yards away on Union Street, the Blue Light, a smaller bar once owned by the singer Boz Scaggs, was closing, too. A twenty-five-year-old man named Jade Santoro, who had earlier been drinking at the Bus Stop, had then gone to the Blue Light, where his friend Adam Snyder was the bartender. Unlike the Bus Stop, the Blue Light serves food, and Snyder had just presided over Taco Tuesday. As Snyder later testified before a grand jury, he ordered steak fajitas. The kitchen closed before the bar, so, when Snyder finally got around to leaving, his food had been waiting for some time. “The fajitas were cold, I take it?” Snyder was asked by the prosecutor.
As many people know, one dirty, racist cop caused a lot of problems in a small town in Texas. The dirty cop was even busted by his employer, the Sheriff, for stealing, but was still able to screw over people the crooked cop hated.
The reason I bring this up is because right here in loony, homophobic, racist Washington County, we also have a dirty, racist cop. He has secretly belonged to the homophobic, racist, Roger Weidner/Victor Oekerman gang for about twenty years.
This dirty, racist cop has sold out his fellow cops, the citizens of Washington County, veterans, and many others. This dirty, racist cop has sent over some of his informants to find out what information I have given the FBI.
I haven't given any information to the FBI. Although I understand that other people have. While it's true that people from the US DOJ check out my website, any information I have on this website is generally meant for anybody and everybody who peruses it.

INJUSTICE - COURTS PUNISH BLACKSEveryone knows that America's criminal justice system is stacked against blacks - and the tiny town of Tulia, Texas, is the latest bitter example.
Last week, 12 Tulia residents - including 11 African-Americans - were freed after spending four years in prison on cocaine charges. Their convictions were based on the uncorroborated testimony of a white police officer known to be a crude racist - and who now is under indictment for lying at the trial. Nine other defendants had been released earlier.
The case began with a roundup of 46 people in Tulia just before dawn on July 23, 1999. Forty of the accused were black - about 10 percent of the town's black population. Police found no drugs, no paraphernalia, no weapons or other signs of drug dealing.
In eight speedy trials, detective Tom Coleman testified that he had worked alone for 18 months buying cocaine from the 46. He had no video or audio tapes, and virtually no other evidence, except his alleged memory. He said he sometimes jotted notes on his leg after the "buys." On his word alone, mostly white juries found suspects guilty, and they drew extra-tough sentences ranging from 20 years to 90 years for one 60-year-old pig farmer. That convinced many others to plead guilty. Twenty-five ended up in prison.
Then the case began to fall apart. Lies by Coleman became evident. The trial judge and prosecutors later concluded that he had committed "blatant perjury" at the trial and was "the most devious" witness within memory. Also, it was learned that he had a scummy past, with arrests for petty thievery, and often made vulgar racial remarks.
In April, the detective was indicted on three counts of aggravated perjury. The Texas Legislature passed a bill releasing some of the convicts. Gov. Rick Perry freed the prisoners while an appeals court reviews the mess.
It's good news that innocent people are free from their cells - but these citizens have missed four years of their children's lives, time with their families, jobs, a college scholarship, in addition to four years of freedom to live and work as they please.
Fortunately, they weren't accused of anything worse than drug crimes. Had the charges been more serious, Texas - the death penalty capital of America - might have killed them. Then there would have been no one to free when cooler heads, and out-of-town lawyers and the NAACP prevailed.
The state will not be able to give back those lost years. But at least the state didn't take more.
This Texas travesty underscores the fact that criminal justice does not always work properly. People lie, fabricate evidence or simply make mistakes. Because U.S. society still is tainted by racism, African-Americans are often the victims of subconscious bigotry in the courtroom.
For blacks, justice often turns out to be injustice.
This is one of the most thoughtful pieces of opinion written about a president who may possibly go down in history as a great president.

Fayetteville Online Story - Slavery, EqualityBush speech a landmark in racial healing
It wasn't the State of the Union address, nor a rousing campaign stump speech. It wasn't in Washington, nor even in the United States. Instead, it was in a remote corner of the world, on an African island across the Atlantic.
But from an open-air podium on Goree Island, Senegal, on Tuesday, George W. Bush gave what may be the finest speech of his life, a stunningly honest condemnation of his own country's involvement in slavery. It was a bold and unflinching acceptance of responsibility for "one of the largest migrations of history ... also one of the greatest crimes of history."
Standing at the site where thousands of Africans were loaded onto ships for a journey to a life of involuntary servitude in America, the president said, "At this place, liberty and life were stolen and sold. Human beings were delivered and sorted, and weighed and branded with the marks of commercial enterprises and loaded as cargo on a voyage without return."
The most remarkable thing about Bush's speech is that it walked strongly and deliberately away from excuse-making, from exonerating the slave owners and traders because they were simply doing what was acceptable in the society of the time. "Christian men and women became blind to the clearest commands of their faith and added hypocrisy to injustice," the president said. "A republic founded on equality for all became a prison for millions. ... At every turn, the struggle for equality was resisted by many of the powerful. And some have said we should not judge their failures by the standards of a later time, yet in every time there were men and women who clearly saw this sin and called it by name."
And Bush's honest portrayal of the past led to an equally forthright assessment of the present and future of America and its attitudes about race: "My nation's journey toward justice has not been easy and it is not over. The racial bigotry fed by slavery did not end with slavery or with segregation, and many of the issues that still trouble America have roots in the bitter experience of other times."
Bush's speech in Senegal may be a turning point in his nation's own conversation about race, an acknowledgment by our elected leader of the sins of the past and present, topped with a firm belief that the problems can be solved, but the memories should never be erased.
It is an important statement that may become a major step of progress in America's quest to create a nation of true equality for all its citizens.

The woman who "blew the whistle" on Enron's accounting practices was fired by the company. Although firing whistleblowers is illegal in most states, it is not illegal under Texas law, so she was not able to sue. Congress recently passed the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in part to prevent that from happening to future whistleblowers.
The Act has many provisions, but we'll cover here those that relate to employees. The Act protects employees when they disclose information about fraudulent activities within their companies. In addition to filing a lawsuit under state law, the whistleblower employee may file a complaint with the Department of Labor within 90 days of the alleged retaliation.
Under the laws of most states, whistleblowers are entitled to emotional distress and punitive damages. Now under federal law, any person who "interferes with" the employment or livelihood of an employee for providing to a law enforcement officer any truthful information relating to the commission or possible commission of any federal offense, can be imprisoned for up to 10 years, and pay a fine up to $250,000.
This means that a manager can go to jail not only for firing a whistleblower, but also for demoting, refusing a promotion, or giving a negative reference.
The Act also requires companies, through their audit committees, to provide procedures for the confidential, anonymous complaints of employees' concerns about accounting or auditing matters. Employers may be able to use existing procedures for this purpose, if those procedures allow for confidential, anonymous reports.
The Act prohibits the destruction or alteration of documents, falsification of documents, or making any false entry in a document. This prohibition applies to any document relevant to the "investigation of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the United States or any bankruptcy case, or in relation or contemplation of any such matter or case." The punishment is a fine and/or 20 years in jail.
Given the broad statutory language, this provision arguably applies to investigations by the Department of Labor into wage and hour violations, by the EEOC into claims of discrimination and harassment, as well as workplace investigations of fraud and financial whistleblowing.
What you should do: Make sure your corporate ethics policy is up to date. It should specifically prohibit retaliation, and require accuracy in documentation. Every company should insure that a well-publicized procedure is in place for confidential, anonymous employee complaints. All managers need to be trained on how to manage and fire employees the right way to prevent claims of retaliation. All employees should be trained on their responsibilities to prepare accurate documentation, and on the company's lawful document retention and destruction policy.
The following story is a tragedy. Nancy Hedrick's story needs to be told once again.

Some women blame Depo-Provera for sending them to the deepest depths of depression and even psychosis.
Constance Lynn Baugh was jailed last February in St. Clair County, Illinois, on a charge of murdering her newborn baby. She's now awaiting trial.
Baugh's mother, Nancy Hedrick, believes Depo-Provera played a significant role in what happened. Baugh had a child at age 17 and immediately went on Depo-Provera to prevent another pregnancy. The drug is known to be more than 99 percent effective at preventing pregnancy, but it's not perfect.
Medical records show that even though Baugh maintained her shots every three months for the next two years, she got pregnant again in the summer of 2000.
However, Hedrick says that Baugh continued to deny being pregnant, even to her mother, even though they lived together.
"I walked in on her one time and saw she couldn't get her jeans up. One side effect of Depo is she gains weight. She said she felt fat and ugly," Hedrick said. "I said, 'Constance, are you pregnant?' And she said, 'No. I'm not pregnant." It was like her body and mind went in different directions." Baugh gained only ten pounds. She had no prenatal care.
Of course, Baugh did not have the number one sign of pregnancy, a cessation of normal menstrual periods. Her periods had been erratic since she went on Depo-Provera. She generally had no periods, but in July of 2000, a month before she was told she was pregnant, she had significant bleeding, so significant that a cop from the carnival had to give her a ride home.
In late January of 2001, Baugh complained to Hedrick that she'd started a period and was bleeding heavily. Hedrick gave her some pads and Motrin. Baugh went to bed. Hedrick let Baugh's two-year-old daughter, Angel, sleep in her bedroom.
"The next morning, I found Constance on her knees in a fetal position," Hedrick said. "She said she was fine and I helped her to bed."
But Baugh was bleeding badly. Hedrick's husband called 911. Hedrick cleared Angel's toys from the floor of Baugh's room, tossing them in the closet so the ambulance crew could get in and take care of Baugh.
At the hospital, while Baugh was taken to intensive care to be treated for internal hemorrhaging, officials called Hedrick into a private room. "I thought they were calling me into the room to tell me my daughter had died. They said she'd given birth to a baby and where was the baby? I said they were liars."
By the time Hedrick got back to her home, police had already found the body of Baugh's newborn child wrapped in a blanket in the closet. The child lay among the toys Hedrick had tossed there.
"They're saying she had the baby in the bedroom," Hedrick said, based on what she heard at the baby's death inquest. "They're saying the baby felt cold, so Constance wrapped up the baby in a blanket and then passed out. For that they're saying she suffocated the baby."
Hedrick believes Baugh was depressed and perhaps even psychotic when she gave birth. She blames the Depo-Provera. "From what I've read, any woman with a mental illness history in the family should not be on Depo," Hedrick said.
Hedrick says Baugh has a history of depression in her family. She said Hedrick became so depressed while she was on Depo-Provera that she tried to overdose on Tylenol. Hedrick says Baugh told doctors she was depressed.
"I've got pictures. I've got video tape," Hedrick says, "but there are times I can't even watch them they make me feel so emotional. To see her how she was before she got on that Depo is heartbreaking."
As a veteran who has been hated, vilified and scorned since I got out of the military, I am constantly amazed at how many supposedly intelligent people hate America's armed forces members. I suppose with the hate comes fear, as Charles T. Hoppin's bizarre behavior indicates.

I have commented before about the high level of discrimination military veterans face in today's courts. In domestic violence trials and restraining order hearings such men are not only guilty of simply being men but, commonly if not inevitably, are referred to as "trained killers."Two recent cases have come to my attention, one rather personal.
The first one involves a trooper from 7th Special Forces (Green Berets) serving in Kosovo while back home his wife was providing her favors to another rather mentally unstable male. Her adultery became obvious when he returned to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, from overseas.
During divorce proceedings her lover began threatening the Special Forces trooper, e.g., "I'm going to kill you, I'm going to put a bullet in you!" (did I say lover boy was a bit psycho?).Unlike several of his comrades in arms, four of whom killed their wives, and one of whom was killed by his wife, after returning from tours in Afghanistan to similar situations, this trooper
followed the law. As a result of the threats he was receiving he went to the Cumberland County Court in Fayetteville, NC. As it turned out lover boy was known to the courts as a dangerous individual and the trooper was directed to attend the NC Department of Justice Concealed Carry Class and get a permit to carry a gun for his protection, which he did.Then his adulterous wife found out that he legally carried a weapon to protect himself from her lover. She then went to Cumberland County Court (the same court that told him to get the concealed carry permit) and (no surprise to those who get these newsletters) the judge gave her a restraining order against her husband.
Further, he wasn't notified of the court date for the hearing nor was the court order served on him. No surprise there either.
As a result the restraining order became permanent.
A permanent restraining order in today's military means an involuntary discharge, which he was given. However, he did manage to get joint custody of their two boys in the divorce. But, despite a no move order, she took off with lover boy and the kids for Kansas. He is left broke, his career ruined, and his children gone. And America has one less elite soldier.
The second incident involved my eldest son, Chris, who, like me, is a former Marine. Both of us served with Marine infantry, he with 5th Marines and I with 1st Marines. However, Chris had the misfortune to be involved in a training accident with his right kneecap ending up behind his leg while with Charlie Co, 1st Bat., 5th Marines. As a result he was discharged disabled and receives a small pension. The VA hospital in Denver reconstructed his knee a few years ago and he has few problems with it now.
Presently Chris lives in Evergreen, Colorado, where he splits the rent with Shane, a former Army Ranger (see footnote). For whatever reasons, a neighbor, Ron Neary, took a dislike to Shane and Chris and their dogs, and began harassing and threatening them. Chris was trying to get his security clearance back for a job he wanted and Shane is in training to become a fireman. So neither could afford to be involved in any brawls. As a result, on the advice of an assistant DA, Chris took out a temporary restraining order against Mr. Neary.
That restraining order came on for hearing yesterday, July 8, at ~2;30 PM in the Jefferson County Courthouse, 100 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, Colorado 80401-6002 before county judge Charles T. Hoppin (303) 271-6210 · FAX (303) 271-6272 in case no. 03 C 10897,
Corry v. Neary. On the record Hoppin found that Chris, solely because he is a former Marine, constituted a threat (as in a danger to society) though their was no evidence that Chris or Shane had ever threatened or harassed anyone. Hoppin then granted Mr. Neary a mutual restraining order against Chris even though Neary did not request such an order. Hoppin also exhibited either complete disregard or total ignorance of the career consequences to Chris of such an asinine and degrading order.Mr. Hoppin was appointed to the Jefferson County Court in May 1996 and was a Deputy District Attorney from 1969 to 1972. He practiced law privately from 1972 to 1996 but has never served in the military and has spent his life as a parasite on society.
More and more often I find myself using the phrase "Dumb as a judge!" I rarely encounter one of these black-robed monsters who has
the education that I would expect of a sophomore engineering or science student. The two incidents above well illustrate the disasters these bumbling, incompetent, uneducated nitwits are inflicting on society and the men who defend it.Semper Fi ?

One of the things that amazes me is that my relatives (John McClelland Hays, Neta Hays, and Chris Andrea Hays) in their attempts to curry favor with the REAL DREGS OF SOCIETY (the Roger Weidner/Victor Oekerman gang), have resorted to lying to me and grandkids, neighbors, other relatives and many people they come into contact with just on a day to day basis.
Also, they have resorted to helping the dregs of society steal almost everything I've owned over the last twenty years; they have killed my pets when the dregs of society have ordered them to; and they have just generally behaved without honor, decency, morality, integrity, or the courage to do the right thing in the face of pressure by the dregs of society.
What's really weird is that the dregs of society don't even like or respect my relatives. Of course, the dregs of society don't even like or respect themselves because if they did they wouldn't behave the way they do.
Here in loony, homophobic, racist Washington County, Oregon we have our own terrorists. They hate America as much as Al Qaeda hates America.

I believe they are also involved in arson and, according to the FBI, one or more of Roger Weidner's buddies who are involved with Roger Weidner in "common law court" stuff also have an interest in bombing things, like offices.
Many of the plans and military strategies of the Roger Weidner gang are very similar to the Al Qaeda Training Manual at the US Department of Justice website.
Roger Weidner and his gang like to infiltrate organizations, especially churches, political organizations and law enforcement agencies. They also like to infiltrate non-profit organizations.
If they can get one cop to see things their way, then they can gather intelligence on that cop's law enforcement buddies.
Here in Washington County, Oregon the gang tends to recruit all sorts of members from professionals to poor, single mothers to people on probation or parole.
Many times the female members of the white supremacist movement are more fanatical and violent than many of the male members.
There are cells of these fanatics in Beaverton, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Sherwood, and I believe also in Tualitan, although, I haven't met any people from cells in Tualitan.
Roger Weidner and his gang are adept at making anonymous phone calls to local police agencies, Child Protective Services hotlines, and even the feds and falsely accusing their perceived enemies of all sorts of crimes.
Female members of the gang will oftentimes falsely accuse somebody of horrible crimes. An example is the following excerpt:

When the females of the gang get together and falsely accuse a private citizen of crimes (like they did to me) and the local cops don't know the females are members of the same gang, then the cops can and sometimes do spend of lot of time investigating crimes that really never even occurred.
In many cases, while the local cops are on a wild goose chase, various members of the gang are themselves engaged in all sorts of REAL crimes.
At the moment, here in Washington County, some members of the Roger Weidner gang are obsessed with infiltrating a church called the Foursquare Church. In Portland, Oregon many members are trying to infiltrate Scientology.
On a personal note - Oregon is the only state I've been in where at least one divorce attorney sentences his enemies to death in a "common law court".
Today I'm proud to announce that I went out and bought an American beer called Fosters lager, then I went and read Tim Blair to find out about what's going on in New Joisey, where Maureen Dowd gets her muse agoin.
The other day I was reading an out of state newspaper when I noticed that the more I read, the more ink I got on my hands. I soon realized that pretty soon there would be no ink on the newspaper and that I had better read quicker and quicker before all the ink had come off the newspaper.
Then abruptly, somebody came stumbling up the street with some contaminated fish he had caught while fishing in the Willamette river and he asked, "Hey, man. I got some fish. You got a newspaper?"
I told him no because I certainly wasn't going to let any damn, contaminated fish read my newspaper before I was done.
When I went back to reading my newspaper it was blank. All the ink had come off. Now that I think about it, I should have let those fish read the newspaper even if there was nothing on the newspaper............because........after all........the fish were dead and dead fish don't care what's in a newspaper.
I'm not really positive though about whether or not dead fish really care about what they read so maybe somebody should conduct an exit poll to find out.

Everyone once in a while I like to try out new, exotic types of foods. One of my neighbors likes fried squid. I always thought anything that could spray ink without being sent through the internet probably should not be eaten, but, what the hell, I'd once spent a couple of weeks in Kenya, Africa and ended up eating stuff whose names I couldn't understand.
One day my neighbor went out into his backyard and got some squid and fried it up and asked me if I wanted a plate load.
I said ok and then took the plate home to watch the Chicago Cubs and LA Dodgers play in the World Series.
As luck would have it, my Marxist food advisor came by and asked me what I was munching on.
I said, "Squid. I usually don't like to eat animals that can squirt ink at you when you least expect it, but I figured since the Chicago Cubs were playing the LA Dodgers, it was sort of a special occasion."
She looked at the plate, then at me, then at the TV, then back at me, then back at the plate of fried squid. Then she said, "You idiot, that's not the World Series, that's a stupid beer commercial, and what you're eating isn't fried squid, but fried slugs."
I said, "Well, no wonder the fried squid tasted like chicken."
Then she said, "If only you would have a sex change operation, then we would have something in common."
That suggestion made sense to me so I called up my gynecologist at Kaiser Permanente and made an appointment for a sex change operation.
After I got through with my phone call, my Marxist food advisor said, "Hey, isn't that the place where they secretly and illegally gave you a test to see if you were a lesbian."
I said, "Not a lesbian, but a homosexual."
She said, "Well, since you're a homosexual, getting a sex change operation wouldn't make us have anything in common, so call up your gynecologist and have her cancel your operation."

Ever since I moved into the house at 4125 SW 175 in Aloha, Oregon 97007, my relatives, John McClelland Hays, Neta Hays and Chris Andrea Hays (who are members of a crazy white supremacist cult) have pretended not to know where I live. In reality they and other members of the cult have actually been spying on me for years, ever since I was sentenced to death in absentia by a secret common law court.
I've been asked to describe some of their behavior over the years since they slowly started becoming crazy from being in Roger Weidner's crazy, white supremacist cult.
It seems my father, John McClelland Hays, became an active, though mostly secret, member of the cult shortly after his retirement many years ago. I, personally, would have spent my time camping out and fishing or maybe even going back to college part time.
Most of the bizarre behavior is much more noticable in my mother, Neta Hays, and my sister, Chris Andrea Hays.
Because of the paranoid delusions about almost everybody but a few in the cult being members of Satanic cults and because of the paranoid delusions about being victimized by Satanic cults, they are constantly in a state of anxiety, hatred and fear. They also are extremely anxious and afraid of space aliens abducting them.
They have other weird delusions about all sorts of conspiracies being targeted at them and other members of the true white, Aryan race.
These beliefs in these delusional conspiracies and the anxiety, fear and absolute hatred these beliefs cause affects the behavior of my mother and sister in such ways that they have extreme difficulty in controlling almost all aspects of every day behavior.
They are incapable of controlling their intense anger and so they have a tendency to lash out at people with all kinds of loud verbal assaults. They also have difficulty in controlling their violent behavior and so they tend to slap or throw objects at those they perceive as extreme enemies or faithless allies.
They are constantly seeking new allies in their various wars against the various perpetrators of the delusional conspiracies and when these supposedly perceived future allies do not do as ordered, then loud verbal attacks or assaults become evident. Also, the percieved future allies who do not do as ordered also can receive all sorts of communications, as evidenced in the following extract from one of the cult members:

They rarely go out into the real world without an escort from the cult because of their irrational fear and hatred of the real world. They constantly pop all sorts of medicines like Prozac (that's one of their favorites) in an effort to relieve their intense anxiety.
Because of the paranoia and hatred towards everything that comes as a result of being in the crazy, white supremacist cult, my mother and sister have, over the years, developed an irrational fear and hatred of me that leads them and other members of the cult to constantly seek ways to destroy me, or any woman I go out with or may go out with in the future, or any children I have now and or may have in the future.
This irrational fear and hatred of me caused them to kill my pets that I left with them when I entered the Navy in 1980. Because of all the delusions they suffer from they became convinced all my pets were evil and had to be destroyed. They lied to me for years about what happened to my pets but eventually they blurted out the truth in one of their many angry outbursts.
What is surprising to me is that they actually managed to convince many people here in lunatic, homophobic, racist Washington County, Oregon that many of their delusions are real. At the moment one of their greatest fears is the upcoming "particle beam" attack on Washington County by Russian and China.
Considering all the lunacy in Washington County, Oregon, I might as well have some questions for the day:
1. Why have crazy white supremacists been able to put in bugging devices at various residences where I lived and does this have anything to do with my impending lawsuit against Washington County, Oregon or my relatives pretending they don't know where I am when I'm only about five miles from where they are?
2. Does this have anything to do with the mother of my two daughters being a snitch for almost fifteen years for a psycho, homophobic, white supremacist cop who goes to my relatives' church?
3. What does all this have to do with a son who mysteriously disappeared after I enlisted in the Navy in 1980?
Maybe one way to find out is to ask my neighbors.
I figure somebody has to know what's going on and somebody has to know why this neighborhood has so many people associated with the Roger Weidner homophobic, racist gang. This is perhaps a mystery that should be solved.
I mean, is this neigborhood "white supremacist central" of Washington County, Oregon or not, and, if it is, is this good for Washington County, Oregon?
Maybe a background check on all my neighbors is in order.
I say we tell the Portland FBI office that there is a chance we have white supremacist, domestic terrorists in this neighborhood and maybe we would all feel better and more safer if the FBI made sure there weren't any domestic terrorists in the neighborhood.
It couldn't hurt.
