Portland, Ore. -- A federal court jury has convicted six people of conspiracy for taking part in an illegal bank that hid $186 million from the Internal Revenue Service from 1986 to 2000.
The six people were part of a group called the Christian Patriot Association, based in Boring, Ore., southeast of Portland, which operated a storefront bank that hid the assets of 900 people.
Convicted on Friday were Richard Flowers, a founder of the group; his wife, Dorothy Flowers, who acted as a clerk and notary; the Rev. Jeffrey Weakley, a white separatist who worked for the bank; Ronald Stacey, who operated a gift store in Clackamas, Ore., and had money in the bank; and two bank members, Dan Romaine Kirkham, a California lawyer and doctor, and John Anderson, who operated commercial printing businesses in Oregon.
Richard Flowers was also found guilty of failing to file federal income tax returns for 1995 and 1996. Mr. Stacey and his wife, Elecia, were found guilty of tax evasion, as was Mr. Kirkham.
Lawyers for most of the defendants had argued that their clients made little or no effort to conceal their activities, were not liable for the tax debts that the I.R.S. claims and took part in no conspiracy to defraud the government. The lawyers said their clients were a mixture of ultraconservative Christians, sovereign citizens and dedicated students of the Constitution and the United States tax code.
Kristen Winemiller, who represented Richard Flowers, said earlier that members of the association think the nation should return to a currency system backed by gold and silver. The association also ran a gold and silver exchange.
Federal agents raided the group's headquarters in 1996, seizing documents that led investigators to bank accounts and names of client. But the bank continued to operate until the indictments in November 2000.
The defendants each face as much as five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each count of conspiracy and tax evasion.
Hard to believe that idiots are still coming over to where I living and telling me the Victor Oekerman clan are fine, upstanding, white citizens, huh?

According to the news report Caseload Crunch, the laboratory that conducts tests for all of Kentucky's criminal courts is struggling with a record backlog of 10,000 cases.
Sounds like the laboratory employees are way overworked, under appreciated, and not given enough resources by the state of Kentucky to do the job the way it should be done.
Of course, in most states public defenders also have the same problems.
Apparently crime labs and public defenders are not seen as important parts of the justice system. Too bad, because when crime labs and public defenders are not given the resources to do the job, there really is no "justice" in the justice system.

The following will give you just one example of how the Roger Weidner/Victor Oekerman gang has interfered with my efforts to earn a living over the last twenty years.The following story is true and it also tells you a little of the business practices of at least one employer in Washington County, Oregon.
A couple of years or so ago I got a job working at Stream International in Beaverton, Oregon. Shortly after being hired my ex-in-laws called up some people in management and told them I was gay and had the AIDS virus. (By the way, I'm not gay and I don't have the AIDS virus.) This caused a couple of supervisors to come to me and tell me the computer I was working on wasn't a good computer and that a computer that was waaaaaay away from everyone was the computer for me. They also said really stupid things like, "Don't feel bad, these computers in this area don't work for Mexicans, either."
Stream International came up with some outrageous personnel policies that were designed with one thing in mind. To get me to quit so the managers and my co-workers wouldn't be worried about me giving them AIDS. On a daily basis I was harassed and insulted. I was kept out of necessary training, etc.
Various persons in management also came up with a lot of outrageous and illegal schemes to get me to quit or to get me fired. One of their little schemes went like this:
Many times I was scheduled to begin work at 6 A.M. I would arrive before 6 A.M. to get everything prepared so I would be able to start working at 6. Then when I went to the computer I was assigned to on any particular day the computer would not be ready or it would be down. Only the IT people could get it back up because they had administrative rights and I didn't. The disabling of the computer I was to work on was, of course, done on purpose. Usually about an hour later, after I complained, the IT people would get the computer working or I would be assigned to another computer.
Sometime during the day (and this happened on a lot of days) somebody in management would come to me and tell me that I didn't start on time, or I was late for work, or something similar, and that I would be terminated.
Another ploy that was used was for somebody in management to change my weekly work schedule on my off days in order to try and get me fired for not showing up for work at my scheduled time. It got so bad that sometimes on my day off I would go into work just to check if my work schedule had been secretly changed. There will be more to come, including the strange postings on the bulletin boards informing my co-workers about my alleged medical conditions.
After about a year of working there I was told I was being laid off because my job was being transferred to Canada. I applied for unemployment insurance at the Oregon Employment Department. When the person handling my claim called up Stream International a couple of the supervisors said I had been fired because I didn't show up for work. Pretty sleazy, huh? I guess lying in order to avoid paying unemployment benefits is a normal business practice for Stream International. Anyway my claim was turned down.
I then filed an appeal. Fifteen minutes before the appeal was to be heard somebody at the Oregon Employment Department called my residence to inform me my appeal was to be heard. I wasn't around but a roommate took the call and told me about the call later. I ended up not getting unemployment payments.
The reason I kept working there despite the abuse was because my paycheck was going to the mother of my two daughters and my two daughters.
Maybe we ought to ask the folks at The Corporate Library.
The psycho ex-mother-in-law from Hell is dead but her evil spirit lives on. If we could bottle that spirit we could fumigate bug infested residences with it. And this brings up the following story.
The old bat lied to and manipulated her grandkids for selfish, psycho reasons. In my opinion, when a grandparent lies to grandkids and manipulates grandkids for selfish, delusional reasons, then the grandparent should be exposed. Besides, the old bat lied to my son and my two daughters about me.
This news flash from Hillsboro, Oregon.The flagrant flatulence of Bonnie Oekerman has been reported to have been the cause of an accident by a space alien craft that mysteriously lost power and crashed into Mount Hood. Investigators are trying to get to the alleged accident site but are being kept away by a strange, noxious odor, sort of like the perfume worn by Oregon's craziest cult leader, Roger Weidner. The trees, according to unconfirmed reports, have developed bizarre habits, including saying, "Hey, where are all the fifteen year old girls?" This is obviously a reference to one of Roger Weidner's favorite sayings.
This is a terrible thing. So in honor of Bonnie Oekerman the Sleaze Report would like to say some of the following things.
Bonnie was a woman of many interests. She was a devout Christian who hated non-white Christians, but her activism didn't stop there. She felt deeply that all minorities should be kicked out of Washington County, Oregon in order to ensure the safety of white women who wanted to prowl cemeteries.
Of course, she had other interests, like trying to destroy the unfortunate patriarchy that exists in Washington County. But she didn't want to destroy just any, ordinary patriarchy. She wanted to destroy the White Man's patriarchy.
Actually, she really didn't know what she wanted, she just happened to like the flaky, philosophical fad of the day.
She was also a devoted mother, dedicating herself to teaching her daughter how to boil water. It wasn't easy. Her daughter had the habit of turning on the stove and then going out to party with her gang.After many months of training, she managed to train her daughter to put water in the pan before turning on the stove.
She also taught her daughter survival instincts, such as, whenever you're in trouble, blame everybody else.
Yes, it was a grueling grind. But she still found time for other, important interests. Like drinking wine and vodka.We'll miss Bonnie, but by saving the earth from space aliens, she has performed a vital function.
Around 1979 I found myself living in Portland, Oregon. There I met a woman of easy virtue and dishonest character. I met her because she came into my place of employment and (with her boyfriend who was on parole from Arizona State Penitentiary) ripped off the merchandise.
As fate would have it sometime later her and I actually went on a date. Soon she had conned me into paying her rent.
Within a couple of weeks after our first date, I had sort of moved into her apartment.
Soon thereafter I met the future psycho mother-in-law.
The mother wanted to know why I was living with her daughter. And then... and then the psycho mother demanded that I marry her daughter.
And demanded......and demanded....and screamed... and over a period of a month or so even became violent when I refused.
I figured why marry the daughter when the daughter was still screwing half the guys on the block.
When I explained to the mother that marrying someone I had only known for a month or two was not a good idea, the mother, as usual, became furious.
The psycho mother remained furious with me throughout the short marriage with her daughter.
After the marriage the psycho mother-in-law showed an even more bizarre side.
She tried to tell us (her daughter and I) what we could eat and what we couldn't eat; what books we could and could not read; what television shows we could watch and not watch; what clothes we could wear and what not to wear; where we could live and where not to live.
The psycho mother-in-law even tried to tell us what we could and could not talk about.
Man, she was the ultimate control freak.
What is really bizarre, before, during, and after this short marriage, the psycho ex-mother-in-law's daughter continued to have a sleazy affair with her boyfriend behind my back.
One of the weird characteristics displayed by the daughter was a need to manipulate those around her. This included almost every guy she met.
Shortly after our first date I decided not to have anything to do with her. However, she was determined AND she not only bugged me, she bugged all my friends.
Anyway, she tried to get her other boyfriend (the guy on parole) and I to fight over her. Apparently it worked. He attacked me with the head of a hatchet one afternoon after I got an anonymous message to meet him.
That sneaky attack put me in the hospital. It took me awhile to recover.
After I recovered somewhat, and after the daughter and I got married, we decided to move to Tucson, where I could enroll in the University of Arizona.
One of the undeclared reasons for moving to Tucson was to get the daughter away from her gang influences.
We moved to Tucson where I got a job working nights and made preparations to go to the University of Arizona.
However, unbeknownst to me, the daughter got involved with a gang once again, got in trouble with the cops, and eventually went back to her parents' home. She did all this without my knowledge. I did, however, find out she was pregnant.
A couple of weeks after the daughter mysteriously disappeared I got a call from her telling me I had to move back up to Portland.
So I did. By necessity I had to move in with the ex-wife at her parents' house.
Because the ex-wife was pregnant I was expected to stay in the house at almost all times.
I was not to go out and get a job. I was not to enroll in either the local community college or the university in Portland. I was not to do anything with friends.
Nevertheless, I did go out and get a job.
During this time the ex-wife became convinced I was having an affair with every woman I came into contact with.
Because the ex-wife was convinced I was having an affair with every woman I came into contact with, her hostility towards me was seemingly constant.
When I went to work she would come to my work and accuse me of having affairs, or of being a homosexual because many times after work (when I was working days) I would go out and play basketball or go to chess lessons or chess practice sessions.
She would also spy on me from outside the building of where I worked.
After about a month of this nonsense I suggested we move out of her parents' house and get an apartment. The psycho ex-mother-in-law said, "No."
The ex-wife said, "No."
I said, "Yes" and moved into an apartment. The really difficult job was getting my stuff out of the psycho house. It was so difficult I was only able to retrieve a few of my belongings.
One day I made arrangements to come over and pick up some clothes. When I arrived at the psycho house the ex-mother-in-law slammed the door in my face and called the police.
As I was walking away, a cop car pulled up and hauled me off to jail where I paid fifty dollars bail and got out of jail.
The charge against me was criminal mischief. When I went to court the judge (Judge Brown of Multnomah County) threw the case out and gave my ex-mother-in-law a lecture about using his courtroom to manipulate me into staying in her house.
I found out later she had made the rounds around the courthouse trying to find someone to order me back into the psycho house.
My wife managed to get a lawyer by the name of Roger Weidner to be her divorce attorney. It turns out at the time this Roger Weidner was one of the most mentally ill, psychopathic citizens to ever inhabit Oregon. Soon after moving into an apartment I realized my ex-wife's gang buddies were following me around. Soon after that I noticed guys in suits following me around.
Shortly before the divorce and on the day of the birth of my son I got a phone call from the ex-wife from the hospital telling me to get down to the hospital as fast as I could. So I did.
When I got to the hospital there was the psycho ex-mother-in-law. When she saw me she became furious. I found out later that I wasn't supposed to know when the son was born because the ex-in-laws had already made plans to terminate my parental rights without my knowledge.
Not only was the ex-mother-in-law furious, but she immediately ordered me to leave and when I didn't she ordered the nurses to order me to leave. At first they wouldn't do it, but after twenty or thirty minutes of the ex-mother-in-law screaming and getting in my face and blustering about one of the nurses suggested I leave. Even though I had hardly talked to the ex-wife or had much of a chance to see the son I agreed to leave.
As I was about to leave the ex-mother-in-law rushed at me once more and I turned to her and said loudly something along the lines of "Get away from me, or I'll kill you," or something like that. I was hoping she would quit bothering and threatening and harassing me. But, she never did. Then I left the hospital. Shortly thereafter the ex-wife and I were divorced.
Well, lo and behold, I found out years later that the ex-mother-in-law had been taking the advice of Roger Weidner to run around and scream at people and act like a complete idiot.
As I've said before, I didn't find out about it for almost eighteen years.
Some years back, while I was living in Beaverton, Oregon trying to raise a family, and while I was the stay-at-home father and the mother was working full time outside the home, unbeknownst to me my psycho ex-mother-in-law, Bonnie Oekerman and her equally psycho daughter, Faye Oekerman, were keeping the apartment that Wendy, our two daughters, and I were living in under surveillance.
Here is what the psycho ex-mother-in-law would do. She would come to Beaverton from her residence in Oceanside, Oregon, where she and her husband had a business ripping off the locals, and she would stay at the Ambassador Hotel in Tigard, Oregon. The Ambassador Hotel in Tigard is very near Beaverton, Oregon.
Then she would snoop around our apartment complex, make friends with one or more of the residents (usually by telling them lies about me and my family) and then she would spy on us surreptitiously. And her psycho daughter, who lived in Hillsboro, Oregon, also near Beaverton, would also spy on me and my family.
During the school year it was my habit to get up early, make breakfast for the girls (they were in elementary school) walk them to the bus stop, and make sure they got off to school. Then I would clean the apartment and do whatever shopping needed to be done, study, and then meet them at the bus stop when they got off the bus after school.
We lived in an apartment with an indoor swimming pool and so, usually at least once a day, the girls would go swimming with their friends and I would play lifeguard and watch them. It helped that in my younger days I actually was a lifeguard. Studying and learning and then actually doing lifeguard duty was one of the crap jobs being on a swim team entailed. That and learning how to clean pools and keep them clean.
Had I known what the sleazy Oekerman family was up to I would have been much more apprehensive. But, can you believe that they would stoop so low after me divorcing the psycho Faye Oekerman in 1980. AND GET THIS!!!!!!! My mother and sister were helping them and lying to me about!!!! Don't the Oekerman's believe in amicable divorce, or does a person have to be stalked and hunted when leaving the psycho Oekerman family? What do they think they are...some crime family nobody can get out of?????!!!!!
I've recently found out that for many, many years, while the crazy, white supremacist Roger Weidner gang was stealing from people and trying to scam people by suing them frivolously in court, the gang was taking the heat off the gang by telling a lot of law enforcement agencies that I was the one doing the stealing and that I was a major leader in various white supremacist groups. I've never even been in any kind of gang (I'm too damn independent and I hate having people tell me what to do and think), much less one as stupid as the white supremacists.
It worked. While various law enforcement agencies were following me around, the Roger Weidner gang was able to do their nefarious deeds.
In fact, a couple of members of the gang were involved in a violent robbery of a Damascus Key bank in 1997. They were convicted in a federal court in Portland, Oregon in 2003.
But.....get this. Various members of the gang tried to convince various law enforcement agencies that I was the one that robbed the bank and this caused the law enforcement agencies to waste a lot of time investigating me.
The law enforcement agencies were led on a wild goose chase for a little while, but, like I write above, eventually the real bank robbers were caught and convicted.
I'm telling you, the Roger Weidner gang is clever.

It has been brought to my attention that stand up comedy offends a lot of people. What this means is that stand up comedy might hurt somebody's feelings.
Yeah, soooooooo....what's the problem?
Bob Hope, an American legend, has died. We'll miss him. I saw him do a USO show on the carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) off the coast of Lebanon in 1983. Can you imagine Bob Hope being politically correct.
If I were a store owner or some sort of entrepreneur and I wanted to get as many customers as possible, I would use whatever language was necessary to get as many customers as possible.
Since I live in America where English is used a lot, I will use America as an example.
If I wanted as many customers as possible and a lot of my potential customers did not speak English, I would make attempts to communicate with them in their language if that is what is needed in order to get them as customers.
Many government agencies need to get info out to Americans, legal residents, and even illegal residents and if that means that government documents need to be promulgated in many languages, then so be it. If translators are needed, then get them. It's part of living in country with Native Americans and immigrants from all over.
Saying a person should speak this or that language only or that there is only one correct language is sort of ridiculous. (Why do I feel a French joke coming on?)
There are certain exceptions though, like the need for most pilots to speak English in certain areas of the planet.
As for the obsession to maintain the purity of a language.....hahahahaha.......fat chance. As long as people speak a language and interact with people who speak another language, the need to communicate with others will cause the languages to evolve. Also, the need to keep the elderly in the dark about what the young are really doing means language will continue to evolve.

PHOTON COURIER brings up an interesting point about the foolishness of schools to give up shop programs.
Many years ago when I was in school they had both shop and "home ec" classes. In fact, one year as an experiment some of the girls took shop and the boys took the "home ec" classes. Us guys that took home economics learned how to shop for dinner, look at prices to decide the best buy, etc., but the best part of the class was when we baked cakes and brownies and cookies.
Some of the girls liked the shop classes. Others didn't, but they learned some of the basics and I think later in life it probably helped them.
And let's not forget Shirley Muldowney.
