The following story about Colonel Ken and Trudy Reusser being evicted for their house appeared in the Oregonian. I'm putting the story in blockquotes and my comments below.
First a little background: Roger and his gang target a victim who is usually elderly or disabled. Then the gang will con the victim into taking out a mortgage on the victim's property. Then Roger and the gang will con the victim out of all or most of the money. This causes the victim to be unable to pay the mortgage. The result is that the property is subject to foreclosure. Many times Roger and the gang will tell the victim that if the victim transfers ownership of the property to Roger and the gang, then Roger and the gang will keep the property from being foreclosed on. It looks like Colonel Reusser was a victim of all or part of the scam.
Swindled elderly pair forced from their homeThe war hero and his wife, who also lost thousands in what they said was an investment scam, are removed by sheriff's deputies

ESMERALDA BERMUDEZ
BEAVERTON -- Two years after a war hero and his wife discovered they had been swindled out of more than $80,000 by their accountant, the elderly couple have lost their $1 million home and are moving into a mobile home.
Roger Weidner was the one who got Colonel Reusser and his wife their accountant.
Washington County sheriff's deputies removed Ken and Trudy Reusser on March 19 after the couple were unable to pay for the home, which sits on land that once belong to Ken Reusser's grandfather. The couple also have said they were victims of an earlier investment scam that cost them $262,500.
Roger Weidner was the one who got them connected to the scam.
"We thought we could retire there and have the kids come visit," said Trudy Reusser on Friday from her neighbor's home, where she and her husband have been staying. "Now we're strapped like a young couple starting out in life."The couple said they owed about $800,000 on the house, in the 17300 block of Southwest Reusser Court, to Washington Mutual.
Trudy, 65, and Ken, 84, a retired Marine Corps pilot who was awarded the Purple Heart five times and the Navy Cross twice, said they trusted Robert E. Thomas, their accountant, to care for their finances. Instead, he took checks from their checkbook, wrote them to himself and deposited them in his accounts.
Thomas was sentenced in May 2003 to a year in jail. He pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree aggravated theft and one count of first-degree forgery exceeding $10,000.
The couple filed a civil lawsuit against Thomas and Washington Mutual, which the couple said made it easy for Thomas to forge the checks.
The Reussers have tried to recover their money from the bank, but because they missed a 30-day deadline to file the complaint, Washington Mutual could not help.
The Reussers said they tried to sell the home, but Washington Mutual told them if they did not drop the lawsuit against the bank, it would block the sale.
Olivia Riley, a spokeswoman for Washington Mutual, released a statement that said:
"While Mr. Reusser's situation is unfortunate, it is not of our company's making. Mr. Reusser has raised various claims against our company in several court cases. Because he was not satisfied with the court ruling, he has elected to appeal some of these decisions."
Roger Weidner was the one who talked Colonel Reusser and his wife into filing a lawsuit they couldn't possibly win and it was Roger who told them to ignore the 30 day deadline.
Three years ago, the Reussers said they lost $262,500 in a high-yield investment they learned about from friends. That, along with the $83,383 they lost to Thomas, forced them to file for bankruptcy in August. The sheriff's office said it was not aware of the earlier investment loss.
On March 19, Trudy Reusser said six armed sheriff's deputies broke down the door of her home, searched the house and asked her to pack her belongings and leave within an hour. Two of the deputies drew guns, she said.
Rick LaManna, a sheriff's office spokesman, said three officers entered the home, one with his gun drawn. Reusser's husband was not home at the time but returned as she was finishing packing.
A news release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office said deputies forced their way into the home because the Reussers did not leave as instructed by the court order, which had been posted since March 8..
It was Roger who told them to ignore the court order.
When deputies knocked on the door, they saw a man inside, but he did not open it."We didn't want to take our chances," said LaManna, who was present during the removal. "It's a terrible and difficult situation . . . but you're caught between a rock and hard place. You have to do your duty."
LaManna said deputies were not sure whether the couple could have had supporters on the one-acre property who might have become violent against police.
The Reussers will relocate to a mobile home outside of Newberg on Sunday.
The temporary home is being provided by state Sen. Gary George, R-Newberg, who is launching an effort to help the couple. George, other politicians, veterans, bikers and Washington County sheriff's deputies will help the Reussers move.
The Colonel and his wife are two more victims of Roger Weidner's psychopathy.
I have read numerous opinions and heard and watched numerous opinions on the various news channels concerning one joke the POTUS made about Weapons of Mass Destruction. Some of the opinions I have heard is that the president passed over some imaginary line by telling that joke. Apparently, according to people who found the joke in bad taste, there is some sort of subject that is out of bounds when the nation is at war. This is crap! There is no subject that is out of bounds!!

The following excerpt is from an essay about World War I satire.
The Great War was dominated by two satirical papers; Punch and the journal best known by it's original name, The Wipers Times. Punch magazine was a well-established journal comparable in style and content to today's Private Eye. It had a wide circle of distribution and was recognised by the British Nation as a middle-class and supposedly unbiased account of current affairs. The Wipers Times took its name for the army slang for Ypres, where it was first produced. It emulated Punch, but contained a more specific type of comedy relating exclusively to the soldiers on the Western Front. The practicalities of trench warfare had created a sudden and often uncomfortable closeness between classes, and therefore The Wipers Times targeted a far wider audience class wise, despite it's relatively limited circulation.
The two papers had many similarities, the greatest being that they shared the same ethos. Both believed that comedy should be employed in a cathartic role against the tension, fear and grief caused by the fighting. However, both dramatically diverge in outlook, contents, the ideas they pursued and the ways in which these ideas were expressed and laid out within each paper.
This essay examines some of these traits and tries to understand why the two papers were contextually so different. I will also attempt to explain how both of these papers extolled a type of comedy that was a highly subversive yet often employed tool during the Great War, and how this was made possible.Punch, or The London Charivari, officially started production in 1842, although several magazines with almost identical titles had been in circulation for some time. The concept for all of these magazines was however the same - they were anti-establishment, politically motivated satires, although the humour they contained was of a fairly lowbrow level. The body of each magazine was based around three main types: short articles, poems and black-cut illustrations - small prints which accompanied puns either in the text or which ran underneath.
Which government agency could help me with the following?
I am currently exposing a white supremacist network in the Northwest and one of the main figures is an anti-government zealot by the name of Roger Weidner. Some background info on me and a connection to an attempted murder:
In 1980 I divorced Faye Marie Oekerman. Her divorce attorney was Roger Weidner. He has since been thrown into the Oregon State Hospital's program for the criminally insane and arrested numerous time for various offenses He has been involved in white supremacist/Christian Identity/Sovereign Citizen anti-government activities for the last twenty years or so.
There is more info about Roger Weidner at The Hays Report.
After the divorce I enlisted in the Navy because the ex-wife and Roger Weidner began stalking me as a team after I separated from Faye. After boot camp and A school I was assigned to Air-Antisubmarine Squadron Twenty-Two. I was a Yeoman so I worked mostly with the Commanding Officer and officers. I was also ordered to qualify as an assistant legal officer and afterwards was assigned to be the assistant legal officer and assistant security officer. For about a year I was assigned TAD to staff of Carrier Air Wing Three CVW-3. Since one of my
duties was reading all the messages for the Commander of the Battlegroup and the Commander CVW-3, I had various security clearances. A background investigation was done on me by the Secret Service around 1974 when I worked in proximity to a Secret Service command post at the Beverly Hills Hotel whenever the POTUS, high government officials or other foreign dignitaries stayed there.
Shortly after reporting for duty to Air Antisubmarine Squadron TWENTY-TWO I was out on the town and I was approached outside a bar by two guys and a girl. They robbed me at knife point, but while they were threatening me they told me not try to see my son. My son had been born in 1980 before I enlisted.
I think what they said indicated they knew something about me before the robbery. By the way, I contacted Jacksonville Police and initiated a crime report but the three were never located.
In 1984 I was transferred to the Naval Base in Rota, Spain where I met YN2 Cathy Winters. I found out later that she had been completely briefed about my life even before I met her. All of it was wrong but it matched the exact story of my life as told by my ex-wife and Roger Weidner. I have also found out that Faye Marie Oekerman and Roger Weidner had been able to stalk me the whole time I had been in the Navy.
Shortly after I arrived at Rota, Spain, Cathy Winters set me up to be stabbed and beaten by about five or six unknown assailants. The assailants were never found. It took me a few months to recover. On another occasion Cathy set me up to be assaulted by two guys who attacked me while calling me all sorts of epithets that were basically anti-homosexual epithets.
I believe there was a connection between the stabbing and beating and Roger Weidner and Faye Marie Oekerman. I also believe that Roger Weidner and Faye Marie Oekerman had made contact with Cathy Winters and some of my other shipmates throughout the time I was in the Navy.
Since it seems to me that these could be considered interstate (maybe even international) crimes, it might be possible that the FBI might have jurisdiction to investigate.
As I've said before, Roger Weidner and his white supremacist/Christian Identity/Sovereign Citizen buddies have been stalking me since 1980.
The following groups of people don't get enough recognition for the important jobs they do. They are, in my opinion, some of the most courageous, disciplined and well trained people on earth.
First we have the U. S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue. These people have saved numerous lives along the seacoast here in Oregon. The seas in the Northwest are some of the most dangerous seas in the world. I know this from personal observation. The aircraft carrier I was on (USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67)) sailed all over the world, including the seas in the North Atlantic and the seas in the South Atlantic.
While the Air Force Reserve's 939th Rescue Wing in Oregon is no longer with us, they also saved numerous lives here in the Northwest.
You don't have to search far and wide to find some of the toughest guys in the world. They're right here in the Northwest and they belong to the Portland Mountain Rescue.
Here in Oregon we have a dangerous mountain. It is called Mt. Hood, and every year it seems the mountain claims the lives of people who mess about up there. The mountain is dangerous even to the most experienced of mountain climbers.
The Portland Mountain Rescue Unit also has a program for teaching the safety aspects of mountain climbing.
I've had some people tell me that because the word "sleaze" is in the Sleaze Report their filtering programs won't let them come to my website. Man, that's a damn shame!
This webite doesn't have any nude photos of anybody or even nude photos of animals. It has very few cuss words and none of the cuss words that could get me fined by the FCC. There's more cuss words on prime time TV than on my website.
Mostly this website just offers opinions and links to other websites. Sometimes I copy from other websites, but not in a manner that could be considered copyright infringement.
Maybe sleaze has become a dirty word. One of the reasons I named this website the Sleaze Report is because the domain was available and a friend and I used to read Dashiell Hammett novels and get a real kick out of the way he described LA. The sleazy alleys, the sleazy bars, etc. I think sleaze is probably one of the funniest words in the English language.
All in all, though, The Sleaze Report is pretty sleazy.
I guess corruption in Mexico is as traditional as the Pledge of Allegiance in the U.S.. The thing is, they're both stupid traditions and since humans made both traditions, it's up to humans to quit doing both traditions.
MEXICO CITY, March 23 (UPI) -- In the midst of the worst corruption scandal in its 15-year history, Mexico's center-left Democratic Revolution Party, known as the PRD, which hoped to contest the upcoming presidential elections with President Vincente Fox Quesada of the National Action Party, or PAN, has lurched from one crisis to another.
Amanda Butlera has an informational post concerning oral arguments in the Newdow case.
Pejman Yousefzadeh has a post about the SCOTUS case, too. He doesn't say much in the post but everyone once in a while I like to link to him just in case my four drunk readers in Joe's Saloon in the Virgin Islands want to broaden their knowledge instead of sending me emails asking me to buy them drinks. Hell, I can't afford to buy those bums drinks. I'm looking for a job.
As I've said before I hope Newdow wins. The following is an old post that I'll repost which will, of course, mean that my email box will be inundated with hate email and threatening emails. Besides, I haven't had any hate emails in about an hour and I figure it's time to get a couple.
I received the following email about a silly effort to keep a phrase in the Pledge of Allegiance. I don't pay much attention to the Pledge because I figure if a person is really patriotic then that person will treat all Americans with respect and dignity. When I see people saying the Pledge it reminds me of what Jesus said:JESUS' TEACHING ABOUT PRAYER (St. Matthew 6:5-8) Jesus said, "When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites! They love to stand up and pray in the houses of worship and on the street corners, so that everyone will see them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full. But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you."In other words, the Pledge is ridiculous. It's ridiculous with the phrase "Under God" and it's ridiculous without that phrase. I'm glad the Ninth Circuit took out that phrase. Saying the Pledge does not make anybody patriotic. Check out "A History of the Pledge". The following is the email with my comments in between parts of the email.
From: Christian Family CoalitionProtect the Pledge of Allegiance!
For 226 years America and her flag have stood for Independence, Liberty, Freedom and Justice. Fellow Americans, let us join as one in our stand against terrorism and tyranny. Imagine the uplifting effect of four million patriots proudly declaring, "I Pledge Allegiance to the United States of America." Take one minute of your time and add your name to the Pledge of Allegiance. Help inspire confidence and strengthen our collective resolve. Take the action of a patriot. NOW. God bless America.
Sounds like these people are really bored and can't find anybody to help. I'm sure if these loonies look hard enough they can find people who might need their help.
On June 25th, 2002, the 9th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals ruled that the Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional and cannot be recited in public schools because it contains the words "under God." This unbelievable and absurd ruling is yet another salvo from activist judges more interested in making their own law rather than following the Constitution.I guess these people are incapable of telling the truth. Students can still say the Pledge. They can say it on the playground, in the cafeteria, in the bathrooms, etc. It's just now students cannot be forced to say the Pledge or be put in the uncomfortable position of being coerced into saying it in front of others or be isolated and possibly stigmatized for not standing and saying the Pledge in front of other students.
After months of anxious waiting, the Supreme Court has announced it will hear the case against the Pledge of Allegiance. The Christian Family Coalition is calling on ALL who support the phrase "One nation under God" should remain in the Pledge to take immediate action by signing our "Protect the Pledge Petition".We, as Americans, stand with members of the United States Congress in asking the Supreme Court of the United States to affirm the constitutionality of the Pledge of Allegiance with the phrase "under God" included.
We support the Pledge of Allegiance, including the phrase, "One nation under God." We believe that the action taken by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in declaring our Pledge UNCONSTITUTIONAL, is a direct violation of our Constitutional freedom.

Why are fanatics always foisting their delusions on the rest of us. I kept the link to the petition just in case anybody wants to sign it. I certainly don't, but this is supposed to be a free country and as long as there is separation between the state and religion, it might stay free. I mean, who really wants the U.S. to be known as the "Christian Republic of the USA"???!!! That would be like being the "Islamic Republic of Iran" and we know what happens when religious fanatics control a country.

The following is an excerpt from an article in the International Herald Tribune.
The threat they envision is a catastrophic attack on a major American port by a ship bearing a bomb. Al Qaeda has sought for seven years to use commercial ships to attack the United States at home and abroad, public records show.A seaborne terrorist attack could cost thousands of lives and inflict billions of dollars in damage, maritime security experts say, while closing major American ports at a cost to world trade measured in tens or hundreds of billions of dollars.
The article goes on.
The response to this threat is a new law of the sea, spurred by Loy, passed by Congress and signed by President George W. Bush a year and a half ago. A parallel global code was adopted days later under American pressure by the UN International Maritime Organization.
The law and the code set a July 1 deadline for all of the world's ships and ports to create counterterrorism systems - computers, communications gear, surveillance cameras, security patrols - to help secure America against an attack.
The cost of compliance at home and abroad will be many billions of dollars. Many American and foreign ports lack the funds to comply. But the cost of not complying could be steeper still. The law's demands create a stark confrontation between world trade and national security.
If a ship, or any one of the last 10 ports it visited, does not meet the new security standards, it can be turned away from American waters.
If a port falls short, no ship leaving it can enter American harbors. That means ports - and their countries - can be barred from trading with the United States.
"We're dead serious about this," said Rear Admiral Larry Hereth, director of port security for the Coast Guard. The law holds "some very harsh economic consequences," he said, like banning ships and blacklisting ports, "and we're prepared to do that." Enforcement will largely fall to the United States.
The high costs and the tight deadline have created a scramble in the world's major ports - especially in poor ones like Puerto Cortés, a run-down harbor crucial to the livelihood of Honduras and its neighbors in Central America.
I think the idea behind the law is good but I don't think the law was well written The cost of compliance is going to be in the billions of dollars, as the article goes on to report. I don't see how the poorer countries are going to be able to accomplish the goals of the law.
Looks like they had employee clock watchers in Shakespeare's time. Time to dissect a sonnet.
When I do count the clock that tells the time,
And see the brave day sunk in hideous night;
Get to work, Shakespeare. This ain't no disco.
When I behold the violet past prime,
And sable curls all silver'd o'er with white;
When lofty trees I see barren of leaves
Which erst from heat did canopy the herd,
Yeah, I know. Winters in Buffalo, New York suck.
And summer's green all girded up in sheaves
Borne on the bier with white and bristly beard,
Yeah, If you like raking leaves.
Then of thy beauty do I question make,
That thou among the wastes of time must go,
Since sweets and beauties do themselves forsake
And die as fast as they see others grow;
And nothing 'gainst Time's scythe can make defence
Save breed, to brave him when he takes thee hence.
If only Shakespeare had had central heating and modern sewage systems. Of course, even Portland, Oregon doesn't have a modern sewage system.
Uh oh, perennial gubernatorial candidate, Roger Weidner, is on the loose again and he's taking up his habit of arresting people again.
Looney Roger Weidner, disgraced, disbarred ex-Multnomah County Prosecutor, has had his looney buddies write up an an article extolling his expoits in arresting Attorney Claude Ingram. If that link doesn't work, try here.
The following are pieces of the article in blockquotes and my comments.
On March 9, 2004 LaPine Oregon property owner Patricia Wishon appeared with 25 supporters in the Deschutes County Courtroom of Judge Thompson to be heard on the Summary Judgment Motion that she filed in the Racketeering and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Duress case she had pending against her former attorney Anthony Albertazzi, her former husband Santiago Torres and his attorney and live-in girl friend attorney Linda Hasse.
Looney Roger is always getting new members in his idiot cult to sue their ex-boyfriends, ex-girlfriends, ex-husbands, ex-wives, ex-attorneys, ex-relatives and various judges, cops prosecutors, state legislatures and anybody else crazy Roger can think of.
In her complaint, and in her sworn courtroom testimony, while Judge Thompson, Torres, his attorney Claude Ingram and Albertazzi's attorney Carol Gregory, Deschutes County Deputies Phillips and Byers and the 25 supporters, with silence and total attention looked on, she with passion and righteous indignation detailed how the defendants have openly, shamelessly and treacherously conspired against her to defraud her of property she had inherited from her late husband. She spoke with abject contempt for her former husband Torres for having married her for her property then having turned into a vicious wife-beater who after almost killing her and physically torturing her forced her to call the police and have him arrested and taken from her home in hand cuffs and ultimately sent to jail for 6 months.
Roger convinces new members of the cult of all sorts of outrageous conspiracies against them by almost anyone the new members have ever known. He also convinces them to lie and lie and lie and falsely accuse almost everybody of all sorts of crimes, even supernatural crimes. Pretty soon new members of the cult are convinced that space aliens, homosexual satanists, the Illuminati, Jews, Blacks and almost everyone else is committing horrible crimes against the new members.
While she spoke, Attorney Ingram, feeling the outrage of Wishon supporters, sat shamefully with his face in his hands. Both Ingram and attorney Gregory, feeling the contempt of Wishon supporters, nervously described to a very nervous appearing Judge Thompson different technical reasons why Wishon's case should be dismissed.
One of Roger's biggest BS claims is that everyone he and his small band of loonies face hang their head in shame, are nervous, are red faced or some other silly nonsense. Roger is constantly reminding his looney followers that when he walks down the halls of courthouses judges and sheriff's deputies tremble with fear and treat him with great respect, so you know he lives in a delusional world.
In the support group were Former Marion County Sheriff Jack Utterback and his wife Dixie, A Voice for Children Director Wilbur Gaston and l998 Oregon Reform Party candidate for Governor Roger Weidner, Ecclesia Director Gregory Thomas and people from the area who came as courtwatchers and supporters including the Hempel's, Breeden's, C. Edwards, D. Peddycoast, D. Pinkley.
Well, there's a motley crew of crazy white supremacist "sovereign citizens". It seems crazy Jack Utterback and his wife were arrested for their sovereign citizen shenanigans in March of 2004. It still amazes me that Dr. Ron Turco of Washington County, Oregon would use Roger's and the cult's lunatic, delusional ramblings as a basis for a professional diagnosis.
Before Utterback, Gaston and Weidner entered the courtroom Weidner had left word with Deschutes County Sheriff Stiles and personally informed Deputy Sheriff Phillips and Byers that he was going to be arresting Ingram after the proceedings for bribery and subpornation of perjury in the Turnbow case. When Weidner entered the courtroom he sat next to Ingram and had Gaston sit on the other side of him and Jack and Dixie Utterback and the rest of the supporters form a hostile semi-circle around him.
When Ingram, feeling the heat from the hostile supporters, stood up and moved to counsel table Weidner stood and pointing at Ingram again publicly condemned him for being totally corrupt and for bribing and subporning perjury in the Turnbow case.
Ingram, his face becoming flush, snarled "you're a liar Weidner" while the courtroom fell silent. "It's the truth and you know it" Weidner said contemptuously to Ingram.
This is a favorite technique of Roger's. Of course, it also demonstrates that Roger is also a bully and a liar and can not do anything without his gang backing him up. This is probably why he was confined in the Oregon State Hospital ward for the criminally insane for about 180 days.
After the hearing Weidner had the supporters form outside the courtroom and wait for Ingram and Torres to leave. As Ingram exited the courtroom Weidner took hold of Ingram's left arm and said: "I am arresting you Claude Ingram for bribery, subornation of perjury and assault". Ingram, looking stunned, did not respond at first and seemed distracted by the fact that his client Torres appeared to be trying to hide behind and from the hostile Wishon supporters glaring at both Ingram and Torres. Weidner told Ingram "This corruption and the stealing of innocent peoples children, lands and property by thieving, treacherous attorneys like you and a group of very corrupt judges is over".As Weidner spoke pictures were being taken of him arresting Ingram (see photo). Ingram's only response was "it's not over yet!"
When Deputy Byers saw that pictures were being taken he attempted to grab the camera and was observed trying to reach over the top of Cher Barry and grab the camera. Cher yelled at him "you stay away from me". Weidner immediately told Byers that he wanted him to go with the group to confront Thompson about the way the supporters were being treated in the courthouse by overbearing Deputies.Weidner and the supporters waited ten minutes in the courtroom for Judge Thompson to appear without success. While waiting for Judge Thompson to appear only a single Deschutes Deputy Sheriff stood quietly in the courtroom. It appeared to those present that Judge Thompson was not prepared to challenge the charges of judicial corruption and police-state treatment of the citizens by the government that was being spoken about by all those present.
After the appearance the supporters who helped expose the on-going corruption in the Wishon case appeared on the front steps of the Deschutes courthouse.
Well, this is yet just one more exploit in Roger Weidner's lunatic quest to overthrow the government and replace it with a "white folks only" republic in the Northwest.
This idiot, along with Victor Oekerman and some other violent jerks, sentenced me to death in absentia in a "common law" court many years ago. They been stalking me ever since.
Looks like the looney, homophobic, white supremacist, Sovereign Citizen - Christian Identity, Roger Weidner/Victor Oekerman gang is calling out the dogs.
These slimeballs are always sending me hate email and threatening email. However, sometimes they leave comments like the one below.
NOTE: If you post a comment that constitutes or contains a solicitation for any commercial enterprise, you hereby agree to pay me $100 per day for every day until the comment is removed, up to a period of 100 days.hahahahah how are you going to enforce that one? On a related note: Why would Dr. Ron Turco of Washington County, Oregon base a professional diagnosis on the lunatic ravings of a bunch of delusional anti-government zealots?
These are the same loonies who tell my youngest daughter to cuss me out when she comes over. They also tell her to disobey me and to sabotage my stuff.
Only in looney, homophobic, racist Washington County, Oregon
As usual the elderly are still being bilked out of money by jerks. The following is an excerpt from a USA Today article. The article highlights our own Kenneth Reusser of Beaverton, Ore., an 82-year-old former Marine aviator and decorated veteran of more than 200 combat missions in three wars
WASHINGTON (AP) — Often living on fixed incomes and sometimes desperate about money, older investors are being targeted with complex investment scams promising huge returns as the stock market churns and health care costs climb, state securities regulators said Thursday. Kenneth Reusser of Beaverton, Ore., an 82-year-old former Marine aviator and decorated veteran of more than 200 combat missions in three wars, says he lost $262,500 in a high-yield investment scheme he learned about from friends he met through a club called "Life After 50."Reusser and his wife, Trudy, filed a personal bankruptcy petition last week, a step ahead of the anticipated foreclosure of their hand-built home worth more than $1 million.
"I'm here as a very embarrassed individual," Kenneth Reusser said at a news conference with state regulators. "We just trusted the people."
The North American Securities Administrators Association is alerting seniors to the dangers of investment fraud and urging them to take control of their finances. The group, which represents state and provincial securities regulators in the United States, Canada and Mexico, announced new investor education programs and a senior investor resource center on its Web site.
The regulators "are deeply concerned that a perfect storm for investment fraud is brewing and our nation's 35 million seniors are most at risk," said Christine Bruenn, the group's president and Maine's securities administrator. "To a senior living on a fixed income, no amount of money lost is too small, and could mean the difference between a secure and dignified retirement or a life of uncertainty and despair."
The age old scams are still lucrative today.
Scams currently targeting older investors involve sales of unregistered securities, bogus promissory notes and charitable gift annuities, viatical settlements in which terminally ill people sell their life insurance policies for upfront cash, and Ponzi schemes that pay some investors returns with money raised from later investors, according to the regulators' group.
By the way, if any law enforcement agencies wish to investigate, I believe they will find that Roger Weidner and his gang having been conspiring to rip of Kenneth Reusser and his wife since the minute the gang met Mr. Reusser. At times, the gang has actually succeeded in ripping off some of Mr. Reusser's assets.
Is there a possible connection between domestic terrorists and militant Islamic fundamentalists? The Public Eye has an article about the the subject. The article reports about the terrorist activities of both domestic terrorists and some foreign terrorist groups, their common motivations, and their efforts to buttress each other's terrorist activities. The article also discusses the same vision shared by many domestic and foreign terrorists. The following are excerpts.
The U.S. Extreme Right shares three ideological affinities with some Islamic clerical fascist movements such as the Taliban and the al Qaeda networks, and some Black nationalist groups:
- A hatred of Jews who are seen in the traditional antisemitic caricature of running the world through secret conspiracies.
- A hatred of the U.S. government, seen as not just a global bully but also controlled by Jews. U.S. neonazis sometimes refer the administration in Washington, D.C. as the Zionist Occupational Government--ZOG.
- A desire to overthrow existing governments and replace then with monocultural nation states built around the idea of supremacist racial nationalism or supremacist religious nationalism or both mixed together. This ethnonationalist philosophy is sometimes called the "Third Position."

"Some investigators and researchers believe Osama bin Laden might still be getting help from within the United States. They suggest that help might not be coming solely from people with extreme views about Islam. It could also be coming from white supremacy groups." Hear the story using Real Player -- from Thursday's All Things Considered.
According to an article in the Washington Post:A remote possibility is a collaborative effort. U.S. monitoring groups cite increased contacts between Middle Eastern radicals and some Americans on the far right. Rabbi Abraham Cooper of the Simon Wiesenthal Center protested a planned meeting this year in Beirut between neo-Nazis and members of militant Islamic organizations. The gathering was shifted to Jordan, he said, and later canceled.
"It's a long, long way from rubbing elbows and giving hateful speeches to acting out or inspiring others to act out," Cooper said. "But those connections are there."1
In a Financial Times online article "Far-right has ties with Islamic extreme," by Hugh Williamson and Philipp Jaklin, Berlin, November 8 2001 the following is reported.
Ahmed Huber, a 74-year-old Swiss businessman and former journalist who converted to Islam in the 1960s, is a board member of Nada Management, a financial services and consultancy company which is part of the international Al Taqwa group. The US says this group has long acted as financial advisers to al-Qaeda. Mr Huber, who is based in Bern, is known in Switzerland and Germany as an Islamic fundamentalist who attempts to forge links to far-right and neo-Nazi movements.A spokesman for Germany's office for the protection of the constitution, the internal intelligence agency, said on Thursday that Mr Huber "sees himself as a mediator between Islam and right-wing groups". He also belongs to the revisionist movement, which believes the Holocaust did not take place, the spokesman said.
Klaus Beier, spokesman for the NPD, one of Germany's main far-right political parties, said Mr Huber has often addressed NPD events.
The report goes on to say.
Today there is a new form of fascism, a neofascism, called the Third Position, which seeks to overthrow existing governments and replace them with monocultural nation states built around the idea of supremacist racial nationalism and/or supremacist religious nationalism. Third Position neofascists have organized in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, and they maintain some kind of loose network, at least for the purposes of discussing their shared ideas and agenda, but in some cases involving meetings and even funding. For instance Libyan president of Mu'ammar Qadhafi has sponsored several international conferences in Libya promoting his special variation of racial nationalism and cultivating ideas congruent with Third Position ideology. Qadhafi has also offered funds to racial nationalist groups active in the U.S. and Canada.2 During the Gulf War, according to the Searchlight magazine, "Neo-nazis is several European countries have been queuing up to shoulder arms for Saddam Hussein's murderous Iraqi Regime."3 One organizer for this attempted neonazi brigade, claimed he had over 500 volunteers from "several countries, including Germany, the USA, the Netherlands, Austria and France."4 Revealing the Third Position motif, a racial nationalist journal, Nation und Europa, promoted the slogans "Arabia for the Arabs," and "the whole of Germany for the Germans."5 In Britain, some neofascists praised the regimes in Libya and Iran as allies in the fight against communism, capitalism, and Israel.6The Third Position has a more intellectual aristocratic ally called the European New Right (Nouvelle Droit) which is different from the U.S. New Right.7 Intellectual leaders of the European New Right, such as Alain de Benoist, are hailed as profound thinkers in U.S. reactionary publications such as the Rockford Institute's Chronicles. The more overtly neo-Nazi segment of the Third Position has intellectual links to the Strasserite wing of German national socialism, and is critical of Hitler's brand of Nazism for having betrayed the working class. See magazines such as Scorpion or Third Way published in England. Third Position groups believe in a racially-homogeneous decentralized tribal form of nationalism, and claim to have evolved an ideology "beyond communism and capitalism."
White supremacist leader Tom Metzger promotes Third Position politics in his newspaper WAR which stands for White Aryan Resistance. In Europe, the Third Position defines its racial-nationalist theories in publications such as Third Way and The Scorpion. Third Position adherents actively seek to recruit from the left. One such group is the American Front in Portland, Oregon, which ran a phone hotline that in late November, 1991 featured an attack on critics of left/right coalitions. Some Third Position themes have surfaced in the ecology movement and other movements championed by progressives.8
While the Third Position is an obscure ideology, there have been published reports that have reported on it. An excellent discussion of the emergence of the Third Position and the revivial of a national socialist/Strasserite version of intrernational fascism can be found in Kevin Coogan's 1999 book, Dreamer of the Day: Francis Parker Yockey and the Postwar Fascist International and in Martin A. Lee's 1997 book, The Beast Reawakens. The convergence among racial nationalists in North America and Western and Eastern Europe is discussed at length in Jeffrey Kaplan and Tore Bjørgo, eds., Nation and Race, and Jeffrey Kaplan and Leonard Weinberg, The Emergence of a Euro-American Radical Right.9 There is a theoretical discussion of the European Third Position and racially separate nation-states by Robert Antonio in "After Postmodernism: Reactionary Tribalism.10 The anti-U.S. aspect of the Third Position is examined in "´Neither Left Nor Right´" in the Southern Poverty Law Center magazine, Intelligence Report.11
The Third Position-which rejects both capitalism and communism-traces its roots to the most "radical" anticapitalist wing of Hitler's Nazi Party. In the 1970s and 1980s, neonazis in several European countries advocated the Third Position.13 Its leading proponent in the United States was White Aryan Resistance, headed by former California Klan leader Tom Metzger. Metzger, who was a Democratic candidate for Congress in 1980, expounded his philosophy at the 1987 Aryan Nations Congress:
"WAR is dedicated to the White working people, the farmers, the White poor. . . . This is a working class movement. . . . Our problem is with monopoly capitalism. The Jews first went with Capitalism and then created their Marxist game. You go for the throat of the Capitalist. You must go for the throat of the corporates. You take the game away from the left. It's our game! We're not going to fight your whore wars no more! We've got one war, that is right here, the same war the SA fought in Germany, right here; in the streets of America."14
Metzger's organization vividly illustrated fascism's tendency to appropriate elements of leftist politics in distorted form. WAR supported "white working-class" militancy such as the lengthy "P-9" labor union strike against Hormel in Minnesota, stressed environmentalism, and opposed U.S. military intervention in Central America and the Persian Gulf. The Aryan Women's League, affiliated with WAR, claimed that Jews invented male supremacy and called for "Women's Power as well as White Power."15 Metzger's television program, "Race and Reason," was broadcast on cable TV in dozens of cities and aided cooperation among White supremacist groups. Through its Aryan Youth Movement wing, WAR was particularly successful in the 1980s in recruiting racist skinheads, who include thousands of young people clustered in scores of violent pro-Nazi formations. (Not all skinheads are racist and there are antiracist and antifascist skinhead groups.) Metzger and WAR's position in the neonazi movement was weakened in October 1990 when they were fined $12.5 million in a civil suit for inciting three Portland skinheads who murdered Ethiopian immigrant Mulugeta Seraw.16
Out of the stew of the Third Position, and the European New Right theories of intellectuals such as Alain de Benoist, came a new version of White Nationalism that championed racially separate nation-states.17 In the United States this filtered down to White supremacists, who began to call themselves White Separatists.18 Dobratz and Shanks-Meile believe that "most, if not all, whites in this movement feel they are superior to blacks."19 Instead of segregation, however, White Separatism called for "geographic separation of the world's races" and in the United States this prompted calls for an Aryan Homeland in the Pacific Northwest.20 [Excerpt: Right-Wing Populism in America: Too Close for Comfort, Chapter 13, pp. 265-286.]
Maybe the FBI, the ATF and other federal agencies involved in homeland security should (if they're not already) take a closer look at the connections between domestic terrorists and foreign terrorists.
Local police departments simply don't have the resources or the intelligence to be able to deal with local terrorists or foreign terrorists in any realistic way. Local police departments don't even have the resources to deal with minor interstate criminal gangs.
By the way, a few local anti-government groups here in Washington County, Oregon have been able to effectively tie up the resources of a few local police departments just by having one or two groups of white female supremacists make false complaints against a variety of people while at the same time another group of both females and males descend upon various courthouses and threaten chaos and all sorts of mayhem. Many of the local police departments haven't even figured out that there are connections between the various local groups and that they are, in fact, working hand in hand to befuddle the local law enforcement authorities.
I think I have a record as a stalking victim. An ex-wife, Faye Marie Oekerman, has called every employer I've had since 1979 to the present time trying to get me fired.
Her mentally ill divorce attorney, Roger Weidner, now disbarred, has been stalking me since he became her divorce attorney in 1980 and he is still stalking me.
I'm not sure I like having these records.
North Korea Zone has a post about North Korean Propaganda Art. There's some links over there to some galleries that feature some of the art along with some links to travel accounts by people who visited North Korea in the mid-late 90's.
I hope this doesn't give the local, looney, domestic terrorists any ideas.
Laurence over at Amish Tech has an interesting observation about society's misplaced priorities. He says in part:
A society that puts a priority in demolishing and replacing perfectly functional 30 year-old stadiums while leaving much older schools, libraries, community centers, public hospitals, and military training facilities to rot and collapse has got a few serious issues to sort out.
Makes sense to me.
